    • 論文提要

    商業性醫療費用保險在國內保險業務中，一直居於附屬地位，直至目前，尚未見有大規模舉辦者，而目前醫療費用保險所提供之保障，不緊範圍過狹，金額也過小，對被保險人而言，並不能給予充分的保障，此外，醫療費用保險在成本計算、成本分担、成本上漲方面，問題頗多，令保險人裹足不前，始終不敢舉辦可單獨出單的保單，然而人們對醫療保險之需求，隨著工商業進步引致之日益增高的罹病率及意外事故率而愈顯迫切，故本文參考國內外各種相關之書籍文獻並參酌國內之情況，加以研究、分析、歸納，分別介紹醫療費用保險之內容、形態及成本的計算，並說明國內醫療費用保險之狀況，同時提出各種相關的問題及其解決之道，期供國內保險業者參考，俾能早日發展出獨立、內容完備且保障充分的醫療費用保險，使其能與未來之全民健康保險配合，成為人們健康保險的兩大支柱。
