貨運承攬業者在貨物運送過程中扮演重要的角色，需完成客戶託付將貨物運
送到指定地點。在國際化運送貨物需求增加、客戶服務多元化、同業服務同質化情形下，企業經營所面臨的競爭態勢比以往更加嚴峻。台灣貨運承攬業者如何透過整合來提升企業競爭能力，已經成為貨運承攬業者重要的課題。
本研究顯示，台灣貨運承攬業者可以透過提供客戶全方位解決方案，在單一
資訊平台上執行貨物追蹤系統，讓客戶時時有效掌握貨物流、資訊流，並透過降低客戶成本與整體服務提昇業者經營效能。加上經由良好的供應鏈管理，將供應鏈做最佳整合，讓每一段的貨物運送都可以無縫接軌，達到最佳運送效能。透過IT技術運用到整個物流的環節，包括採購、運輸、倉儲、包裝、配送以及裝卸等環節的資訊化運作，並整合供應鏈的物流、現金流與資訊流，實現供應鏈上游到下游的全流程資訊共享，創新提高了物流效率，為客戶提供了更客製化的服務。
