本研究旨在探討安排父母至安養機構接受長期照顧的經驗，並以現象學心理學之視野暸解子代照顧者的存在處境，嘗試創造使照顧經驗得以適切言說的空間。
藉由李維倫(2004a)所提出的置身所在分析現象學方法論，分析三位具有安排父母至安養機構接受長期照顧之子代照顧者，結果研究發現經驗者有著以下的置身結構:(1)照顧次序:家庭結構、傳統倫理秩序與資源條件 (2)情感性照顧者 (3)親代病體時間的跟隨關係 (4)手足間自由度差距 (5)規範性照顧者:延續親代 性命、朝向健康照顧 (6)遭逢資源 (7)規範性照顧與病體時間無法搭配越 (8)無法承擔，越更加承擔困局 (9) 安排親代至機構之自責照顧者 (10)照顧者位置轉化的條件。本研究透過經驗分析，描述子代在自然情感與常理論述下成為的照顧者的樣 態，而如何無法繼續維持原先的照顧者位置，並在阻隔下加深其照顧困局，最後提 出子代照顧位置的轉化條件，來自納入自身生命時間，並逐漸承認生命有限性與必死性，照顧便有機會從原先對死亡的控制與管理，轉向一種陪伴、安適與共在。
依據研究結果，本研究於討論章節中與文獻進行對話，並對既有照顧常理與社會論述提出反思。接續，透過對子代照顧者存在處境的討論，嘗試開啟更多理解與對話的空間。最後，透過描繪從子代照顧者轉化經驗歷程以及資源意涵的重新詮釋，進一步探問照顧與療癒的本質。

This study aimed to understand the lived experience of arranging parents for longterm care in nursing home. The phenomenological research method used in this study is the hermeneutical phenomenology analysis developed by Wei-Lun Lee (2004a) on the situatedness of a person. Through interviews with three participants, we observed the following structures of experience: (1) the order of caregiving: family structure, traditional values, and resource conditions; (2) the emotional caregiver; (3) the relationship of following the parent's bodily illness-time; (4) differences in degrees of freedom among siblings; (5) the normative caregiver: care oriented towards recovery and restoring health; (6) encounters with caregiving resources; (7) the incompatibility between normative caregiving and parent's bodily illness-time; (8) the dilemma of “being unable to endure yet compelled to continue enduring”; (9) the self-blaming caregiver of arranging parents in nursing homes (10) the conditions for the transformation of the caregiver. Through analyzing the lived experiences of caregiving, this study describes how adult children become caregivers through their natural responsiveness to parental suffering and through dominant caregiving discourses, while gradually becoming unable to sustain their original caregiver position. Within this blocked situation, their suffering and caregiving dilemmas continue to deepen. The study further proposes that transformation becomes possible when adult-child caregivers begin to reconnect with their own lived temporality and confront the finitude and mortality of existence. Through this transformation, caregiving may shift from the control and management of death toward companionship and coexistence.
Based on these findings, this study engages in dialogue with existing literature and critically reflects upon contemporary dominant caregiving discourses and assumptions. Furthermore, by turning toward the existential situations of adult-child caregivers and posing reflective questions, this study attempts to open a space for understanding and dialogue. Finally, through portraying the transformational process of adult-child caregivers and reinterpreting the meaning of caregiving resources, this study further inquires into the essence of care and healing.
