本研究主要以都市山胞為研究對象，探討其代間、代內流動的情形。由於都市山胞是

由山地原居地外移至都市，欲探討其社會流動則需考慮－遷移－此－背景因素，所以

，本研究以Blau and Duncan 地位取得模型為雛型，加上因遷移所產生的變數－遷移

年數、離鄉前後的職業，來討論地位取得模型。我們以路徑分析來檢視都市山胞地位

取得過程中各變項的關聯性。

本研究的主要研究發現簡述如下：遷移至都市中的原住民其流動的憑藉是依賴教育，

教育的影響力大於家庭背景的影響力。教育對早期職業取得有顯著的影響力，而後來

的職業地位取得則受到早期職業經驗的強大影響，教育的影響逐漸減少。山胞遷移至

都市後，其流動情況下佳，大多數人未產生流動，一直在都市社會底層中游走，向上

流動者僅為少數，足見遷移至都市並未對山胞造成流動的有利條件。
