    資訊使用行為研究可從兩方面研究,一者為由鉅視的角度看資訊使用行為與資訊環境的關係,一者由微觀的角度分析使用者本身的特質與資訊使用行為的關聯。本研究嘗試結合兩種觀點,審視台灣地區都市與鄉村居民的資訊使用行為。

    本研究利用鍾蔚文、汪琪、沈清松於民國七十六年所蒐集的資料,重新分析台北市大安區、高雄市新興區、台北縣土城鄉,以及高雄縣茄萣鄉等四樣本區的居民,在接觸電視、報紙、雜誌、錄影帶、電影、圖書館、演講、書等八項資訊資源的頻率有何差異,同時也分析這四區民眾在工作、學習等情境下,尋求資訊的情形。

    單因子變異數分析、T考驗、交叉分析以及迴歸分析結果顯示,教育程度仍是最適合解釋資訊使用行為差異的變項,其次是年齡,再次為居住區。在一般資訊資源的使用上,使用者不會困地區因素而有差別,但在情境資訊的使用方面,中、低教育程度,尤其是中教育程度者,最容易受到環境的影響,也就是資訊環境愈佳,資訊使用行為愈頻繁,反之則減弱。所以居住地區雖不及教育程度、年

    齡有預測力,但對傾向游離的中教育程度者,有某種程度的影響力。
