Cinematic Virtual Reality (CVR) has emerged as a new medium that integrates cinematic storytelling with immersive experiences. However, CVR affords audiences a high degree of viewing freedom, making it difficult for creators to control viewers’ attention, which often leads to viewers missing key points. Therefore, this study aims to explore the design strategy of creators, focusing on the question: "How do CVR creators balance attention guidance, cognitive load control, and the maintenance of presence in narrative design?" The study yielded the following important findings:
1.Attention guidance in CVR narratives should adhere to the principle of "content first." It should center on Place Illusion (PI) and Plausibility Illusion (Psi).
2.Currently, creators mostly adopt low-risk, implicit, and conservative guidance strategies in practice. By modulating temporal and spatial narrative density to avoid cognitive overload, they balance narrative stability with the quality of the immersive experience.
3.CVR narrative is still in a transitional stage of development. With the improvement of the audience's adaptation to the medium and the gradual maturation of related technologies, future attention guidance models are expected to evolve toward more open and diverse directions.
By shifting to the practical perspective of creators, this study systematically explores the integrated context of CVR attention guidance. It provides theoretically supported practical references for immersive narrative design and lays an important foundation for future research and creative practice.
