零售服務業的連鎖經營,其基本原因是追求規模經濟的利益。一般來說,加盟的型態較直營有潛在利益,因為資金負擔較輕,且擴張速度較快。國內的加盟體系以批發整合的自願加盟體系不多,而以特許加盟為多;特許加盟的授權者,對加盟者的管理與控制方式通常兼具了「產品--商標特許權」和「企業經營模式特許權」的特性,各體系有不同程度的控制水準。管理與控制在連鎖加盟經營非常重要,因為一致的營運是連鎖體系成功的基礎,特許加盟體系中控制問題影響成敗甚大。
本研究是從通路管理的觀點來探討授權者對加盟者的控制。首先從文獻的歸納介定特許加盟的意義和本質,以及回顧通路管理中,影響通路領導者對通路成員控制水準的「權力/衝突」理論;再加上對加盟總部的訪談結果,建立一個影響特許加盟系控制水準的架構。接下來選擇電腦連鎖體系二家加盟體系,介紹其管理方式,並對加盟店做普查式的問卷調查,以深入了解各變數如何影響控制水準,再分析行業特性對控制方式及水準所造成的影響。
研究結果:
1.在資訊電腦業的加盟體系控制水準偏低,衝突較高的項目為與利潤有關者,加盟者專業知識使抗衡權大,加盟店對加盟總部的溝通滿意度偏低,且溝通情形不夠理想。
2. 控制水準的影響因素是加盟者對加盟總部的資法依賴、知名商標的建立以及加盟店的附加價值。
3. 潛在衝突強度的影響因素是加盟總部的角色績效、加盟者抗衡權、對溝通的滿意度以及溝通管道。
