  • 外國在印尼之投資以及台灣在印尼投資成長之評估

Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world and also the largest nation in South East Asia. As a big country which is rich of natural resources, there have been many foreign investors from Asia and Europe taking the opportunities to invest in this country. The thesis will do research on foreign investments in Indonesia and will look at Taiwan’s investment growth in this country.
The thesis will include analysis on economical and political situation and study on investment climate and environment changes, as well as discussion about the challenges that Taiwanese enterprises face in their efforts to invest in Indonesia as well as in other South East Asia countries.
The objectives of the study is to further analyze the overall investment environment in Indonesia which can be featured as a guide for future investors. Because Indonesia is an important focal point of Taiwan’s “Go South” policy, which encourages Taiwanese businessmen to invest in Southeast Asia as an alternative to mainland China, this thesis also has the purpose to dig more opportunities for Taiwanese businessmen to do more investments in this country. Although Indonesia does not have diplomatic relationship with Taiwan, Taiwan has become the fifth-largest foreign investor in this country.
Finally, a case study of the pulp and paper production industries in Indonesia will be introduced in order to provide a real example and practical information on how to make a successful investment in Indonesia.
