本文研究分析各國智慧財產權保護的差異對台灣出口前十大高技術密集高科技產品出口值的影響。探討資料由1997-2008年期間的追蹤資料 (panel data) 採用瑞士洛桑國際管理學院 (IMD) 所公布的智慧財產指標,並以適用追蹤資料的計量模型來做探討。並分別針對台灣出口前十大高技術高科技產品,藉此提供一個比較精確角度來觀察新興工業經濟體出口高技術密集高科技產品之情況。實證結果發現大多數國家在智慧財產權的保護加強對於台灣出口前十大高技術密集高科技產品有著正向且顯著的關係,此結果支持市場擴張效果存在於台灣高科技產品的市場上。此外,再經由區分不同國家的仿冒威脅程度之下,發現市場擴張效果的情形仍比較強勢,此結果特性與過去理論預測有不一致的情況。而顯著影響的高科技產品在投入要素密集度呈現大多是屬於中度資本密集,高度勞力密集。
