  • An abstracted common principle named interpreting principle is derived
    from different modeles of computing machine. It has the kerneled features
    of virtual machine. The types of interpreting are introduced. The first
    application of this principle is to simulate a stack machine to implement
    a FORTRAN-like HLL machine. The data structure and executing algorithm are
    described. An intermediate form is used to reduce the program size and the
    executing time. This HLL machine has the advantage of easy programming in
    a microcomputer. The second application is the transformation from the AC
    mean voltage to delay time in a triggering time coverter.
    The converter cooperated with a microprocessor forms a programmable motor
    controller. The controller regulates the speed of the motor. Other
    variables, such as acceleration, power-on starting and torque-limiting of
    a motor can be easily controlled by this controller. The control
    algorithms which can be modified to any AC power control with SCR device
    are described. An improved hardware converter which unilizes the analog
    device to implement the conversion is also introduced. The improved
    converter is adaptive to various voltages andfrequencies in the AC power
    source.
    Finally, a proposed virtual device is derived from the interpreting
    principle. The model of virtual device is introduced. A virtual floppy
    disk controller which replaces an expensive intelligent floppy disk
    controller was implemented as an example. The virtual floppy disk
    controller worked very well and satisfied the expected requirements. It
    was used in a self-constructed microcomputer to transfer and existed
    software package to run in the microcomputer system without modifying the
    system software. The are many applications related to the virtual device,
    such as:(1) replacement of the system device for fault tolerance or the
    expansion of the functionality of the device, (2) multi-stage operation of
    cascaded multi-computer, (3) programmable machine reconfiguration. and (4)
    improvement of an existed system by controlling the input
    本論文研究各種計算機械之理論模式,探討其基本功能與設計原則。經抽象化後,歸
    納出一共同之原則,稱之為解釋原理,該原理為虛擬機械之核心。解釋原理之各種型
    式予以分類,將之應用於計算機為主之系統中,並以實驗驗證之。
    首先,軟體解釋用以模擬疊動作計算機。藉之完成可直接執行高階語言之計算機。文
    中敘述其資料結構與系統組成,並提出以雙疊及中間碼之演算法,以減少程式空間及
    執行速度。該法可應用於多處理機組成之鄗階語言計算機。
    其次,應用於微算機為主之控制器設計。對於閘流體控制之交流電源,產生適當之觸
    發時間以線化輸出平均電壓。文中提出兩種轉換方法。其中之一,以僅讀記憶體組成
    快速變換表避免繁複之運算。於馬達控制之應用中,對速度,轉矩限制及啟動等可很
    方便的達成程式控制。另一改良法,藉脈波調制技術以類比裝置組成轉換機構,對電
    源電壓及頻率亦能適應控制,該法經修改可成為低成本之類比╱數位變換裝置。整個
    控制器經適當修改亦可應用於各種閘流體控制之電力調整。硬體轉換機構與計算機結
    合,可提高各種虛擬機械之性能,並簡化程式設計。
    最後,根據該原理,本文導出一虛擬裝置之觀念,用以替換各種周邊裝置而不必變動
    原系統程式。文中敘述該裝置之構成與模式。該虛擬磁碟控制裝置被應用於將其他計
    算機已發展完成之軟體程式轉移入自製之微算機系統中,使自制之微算機可執行其他
    計算機之系統程式而降低軟體發展成本。該虛擬裝置模式並應用於中文終端機之改良
    ,使中文終端機與計算機組成中文資料處理系統。虛擬裝置之應用相當廣泛,例如
    (1) 裝置功能擴充及裝置替換,(2)機器重組與可容忍錯損之系統,(3)經由輸入╱輸
    出訊號之解譯,階層式改良現有系統成為更高性能系統。
