本研究是使用與滿足的研究。主要目的在探討國小高年級學童收看電視益智猜謎節 目的動機類型,以及兒童與同儕團體的關係及成就動機如何影響其收看動機。
研究方法採集體測驗的問卷調查法。研究對象是台北市國小五年級學童。
在統計方法上,以集群分析將兒童的收看動機歸納為幾個主要的動機類型,並以簡單相關及淨相關,分別求出自變項(親和動機、親身接觸、親身影響、成就動機)與應變項(收看動機)的關聯性。
研究結果發現,兒童收看電視益智猜謎節目的動機,主要可分為四種類型:求取新知與自我評估、尋求娛樂、尋求社會互動的基礎、尋求刺激。兒童的親和動機愈強、親身影響愈大,則收看動機愈趨向於接觸性;兒童的成就動機愈高,則收看動機愈傾向,追求遲延性滿足。
