Against the backdrop of increasing global attention on climate change, this paper aims to examine the impact of U.S. corporations' climate attention and carbon emissions behavior on their market value from 2013 to 2022. Focusing on companies listed in the U.S. Standard & Poor's 500 index, this study assesses corporate climate awareness by analyzing climate change keywords in 10-K reports. Employing multiple regression analysis, the study reveals that carbon emissions significantly negatively affect firm market value, with an intensified trend observed post-Paris Agreement. Additionally, a significant positive correlation between corporate climate attention and market value was confirmed.
