本研究旨在了解育幼期父母親的生活調適情形；除比較性別、為人母者就業與否及不同的子女性別狀況下各角色層面之生活調適的差異外，並考察年齡、教育程度、家庭收入、子女數等個人背景變項、子女價值、子女照顧之分工態度與工具性、情感性子女照顧行為、及父母角色扮演程度之知覺和期待等有關父母角色的變項對育幼期父母親生活調適的影響力。........................................

本研究主要以民國七十七年，國科會補助台大農業推廣學系高淑貴等人施行的「雙生涯家庭親職角色的研究」所搜集到的原始資料做進一步的分析，研究對象包括雙工作家庭夫婦兩百對及單工作家庭夫婦一百對；並參考角色理論及已往相關研究，以因素分析法將育幼期父母親之生活調適分為父母角色調適、工作角色調適及夫妻角色調適。而資料分析方法為平均數檢定、相關分析及多元迴歸分析，所得之重要發現如下:

1、除了單工作家庭之為人母者在夫妻角色調適方面與為人父者沒有差異外，無論是雙工作家庭或單工作家庭， 也無論是父母角色、工作角色或夫妻角色調適，為人父者均比為人母者有較佳的調適。

2、育幼期父、母親並不因為屬於雙工作家庭或單工作家庭而在各角色層面的生活調適上有所差異。

3、除了有兒有女的單工作家庭母親比全是兒子的的單工作家庭母親有較佳的父母角色調適外，各類受訪者在各角色層面之生活調適上並未因子女性別狀況的不同而有顯著的差異。

4、顯著影響育幼期父母親父母角色調適之因素為對父母角色之期待、了解與關愛子女程度之知覺、工具性、情感性子女照顧行為、子女照顧之分工態度、子女數及子女價值；但依受訪者類別之不同而有不同的影響因素；其中對父母角色之期待及情感性子女照顧行為是就業之育幼期父母親皆有的兩個顯著影響因素。當

就業之育幼期父母親對父母角色之期待愈高、情感性子女照顧行為傾向由他人擔任時，他們在父母角色調適上有較差的調適。

5、顯著影響育幼期父母親工作角色調適之因素有對父母角色之期待、知覺到了解子女的程度、子女照顧之分工態度與家庭收入；亦因受訪者類別而有不同的影響因素。當知覺到了解子女的程度愈深、家庭收入愈高子女照顧之分工態度愈傾向由母親負責時，雙工作家庭父親在工作角色調適有較佳的調適。雙工作家庭母親則在對父母角色之期待愈高、知覺到了解子女程度不深、家庭收入愈高時，工作角色調適愈不佳。單工作家庭父親之工作角色調適只受工具性子女照顧行為之顯著影響，當其愈傾向負擔工具性子女照顧行為時，其工作角色調適愈不佳。

6、顯著影響育幼期父母親夫妻角色調適之因素為家庭收入、子女價值與知覺到了解子女的程度；亦因受訪者類別而有不同。當家庭收入愈高時雙工作家庭父親的夫妻角色調適反而愈不佳。而知覺到了解子女程度愈深，對單工作家庭父親之夫妻角色調適有正面影響。子女價值則對單工作家庭母親有重要影響，當子女價

值愈傾向個人內在性價值時，單工作家庭母親有較佳的夫妻角色調適。

整體而言，本研究之迴歸模型對單工作家庭之為人父者有較佳的解釋力，而所探討的影響因素在育幼期父母親之夫妻角色調適部分多未達顯著，可能另有其他重要因素影響夫妻角色調適。除此之外，本研究之樣本局限台北市，建議將來研究擴大樣本至鄉村地區，以比較城鄉之結果或從多個地區選樣，以利研究結果之推論與應用。
