本文共約二十萬餘言,分六章廿五節撰寫,各章內容提要如次:
第一章槪述「人」為管理的主要資源,說明人力資源管理的發展功能與工作生活品質的內容,以及本文之研究動機及研究方法。
第二章引介管理人員永業發展的涵義,說明永業及永業發展之重要性。
第三章探討管理人員永業發展的理論,涵蓋管理人員對人的假設、管理人員的管理模式與管理理論、以及管理人員永業發展之理論基礎。
第四章分析管理人員永業發展的過程,按學者對工作歷史、生活階段、生活類型之研究與分類;永業類型及永業階段之內涵;以及社會學、心理學之途徑等項,依序說明。
第五章實施管理人員永業發展的重點,透過個人需要及組織期望等因素,設定個人永業發展計畫,並側重永業發展策略之運用及組織之永業管理同時達到個人之發展需求與組織之成長目標。
第六章歸納本研究之重點,並參酌有關理諭,研擬管理人員永業發展之具體建議,以供參考。
本文撰寫期間,承王帥德馨之悉心指導,尤其在資料蒐集及觀念上之引導及啟發,使得本文得以順利完成,於此謹致最高謝忱與敬意。
