本研究旨在探討害羞(社交能力、社交偏好)與職業興趣、職業不確定、找尋職業資訊行為、事業策略之適用的關係。茲將本研究之研究假設分述如下:

(一)大學生的性別不同在害羞上有顯著差異。

(二)害羞程度不同者在職業興趣取向、職業興趣上有顯著差異。

(三)害羞程度不同者在職業不確定的程度上有顯著差異。

(四)害羞程度不同者在找尋職業資訊行為上有顯著差異。

(五)害羞程度不同者在事業策略的適用上有顯著差異。

本研究以政治大學、臺灣大學、輔仁大學、東吳大學，一至四年級共851 名學生為對象，以害羞與社交能力問卷、職業興趣檢核表、職業不確定量表、找尋職業資訊問卷、事業策略問卷等為研究工具，並且採用多變項變異數分析、二因子變異數分析、t考驗、區別分析、多元逐步迴歸分析、因素分析等方法進行統計處理。茲將研究發現分列於下:

(一)性別在害羞上無顯著差異。

(二)1.害羞程度愈低者對人際取向的職業愈感興趣;且對於企業型、社會型、藝術型等三種職業類型較為偏好。

2. 社交能力愈高者對人際取向的職業愈感興趣。

3. 愈好社交者對人際取向的職業愈感興趣。

(三)1.較不害羞組比較害羞組多透過媒體、與親友討論、主動接觸業者、與教授、輔導員討論等方式找尋職業資訊。

2. 社交能力較佳組比社交能力較差組多從事找尋職業行為;且較多透過媒體、與親友討論、主動接觸業者、與教授、輔導員討論等方式找尋職業資訊。

3. 較好社交組比較不好社交組多透過媒體、與親友討論、主動接觸業者、與教授、輔導員討論等方式找尋職業資訊。

(四)較不害羞組比較害羞組的職業不確定程度較低未得到支持。

(五)1.較不害羞組比較害羞組多採用創造機會、自我表現、事業指導、建立網絡、意見順從、投合上司等策略順從、投合上司等策略。

2. 社交能力較佳組比社交能力較差組多採用事業策略;且較常採用創造機會、自致表現、事業指導、建立網路、意見順從、投合上司等策略。

3. 較好社交組比較不好社交組多採用事業策略;且較多採用創造機會、自我表現、事業指導、建立網路、意見順從、投合上司等策略。
