本論文以探討當前國際關係現代學派「相互依存」學說為主要目的，研究內容按章節項序作下面排列。第一章導論說明撰寫的目的及研究方法。第二章闡述現代學派相互依存發展緣由，其中包括第二次世界大戰後國際政經體系變遷，現實主義解釋能力不足、及相互依存學說發展經過。第三章相互依存基本概念，包含相互依存學科性質，定義、及形式。第四章相互依存理論主張，包括相互依存理論模式，以及相互依存與權力，國際體制改變，與政策應對的各種關係。第四章相互依存理論主張之評論，評述當前學界對相互依存理論主張的批評，如相互依存存真性？相互依存普遍性？及相互依存理論可靠性？最後第六章結論，將相互依存理論作一總體申述。
