本研究旨在探討台灣新聞環境中實踐另類新聞學的可行性及其挑戰。社會對於主流媒體在新聞內容的表現屢有批評，其報導雖保留客觀新聞學之形式，卻未能令多數閱聽人信任。另類新聞學作為台灣新聞媒體的另一條可能道路，本研究根據公共新聞學、建設性新聞學核心及實踐原則，分析聯合報系中的《願景》、《聯合報》、《聯合新聞網》新聞差異，以及訪談新聞工作者產製日常新聞與建設性新聞的條件差異，找尋實踐建設性新聞可行方向。
研究結果顯示，《願景》整體表現最具建設性，《聯合報》次之，《聯合新聞網》相對較弱。《願景》透過較長製作週期、跨部門協作及引用多元消息來源，較能深入探討交通問題成因、整合不同觀點，並提出具體解決方案；《聯合報》雖兼具兩者，但解方多集中於政治人物與警方主導的工程建設或執法措施；《聯合新聞網》則較常採用非建設性框架，部分報導存在資訊碎片化及消息來源單一等問題。三者皆有報導一定比例的解決方案，顯示建設性新聞元素已部分融入既有新聞實踐。然而，即使是最具有建設性的《願景》與其他兩者仍普遍存在解方類型不夠多元、缺乏成效數據支持、過度依賴政治菁英消息來源，以及欠缺中長期改革討論等問題。
整體來說目前商業媒體若要執行建設性新聞，仍然需要支持類似《願景》生產條件的跨中心組織，包含願意給記者較長的週期寫報導、經費支持、打破各中心分野促進記者之間合作產製、有跑過不同專題經驗的主管指導以拓展議題面向，拓展目前的記者擁有的資源與空間。

This study aims to explore the challenges of practicing Alternative Journalism in Taiwan 's news environment. Mainstream media have long been criticized for their news performance, as their reporting often retains only the appearance of objectivity. This study builds on the core concepts and practical principles of public journalism and constructive journalism to analyze the differences among the Vision Project, the UDN newspaper, and the United Daily News within the United Daily News Group. In addition, in-depth interviews with journalists were conducted to examine the differences between the production conditions of daily news and constructive journalism, with the goal of identifying realistic approaches for practicing constructive journalism.
The findings indicate that the Vision Project has the most constructive context, followed by the UDN newspaper, while the United Daily News shows the lowest level. Through longer production cycles, cross-departmental collaboration, and the use of diverse sources, the Vision Project is better able to investigate the causes of issues, integrate multiple perspectives, and propose concrete solutions. The UDN newspaper contains both constructive and non-constructive reporting characteristics, its proposed solutions primarily focus on infrastructure projects and law enforcement measures led by politicians and police agencies. In contrast, the United Daily News more frequently adopts non-constructive reporting characteristics, and some reports exhibit fragmented information and reliance on limited sources. However, even the Vision Project, which demonstrated the strongest constructive journalism characteristics, shared several common limitations with the other two media outlets. These included a limited diversity of proposed solutions, insufficient evidence regarding the effectiveness of those solutions, an overreliance on political elites as news sources, and a lack of discussion on medium- and long-term reforms.
Overall, the findings suggest that the successful implementation of constructive journalism in Taiwan's commercial media requires organizational support comparable to the production conditions of the Vision Project. Such support includes longer production cycles, adequate financial resources, cross-departmental collaboration, and experienced editors capable of guiding reporters in developing broader perspectives on public issues.
