一、研究目的：
(一)瞭解我國公私立大學三、四年級學生之性知識、態度，行為之現況。
(二)探討學院、年級、性別、居住地、雙親教育程度、父親職業對受試者之性知識、態度、行為是否有影響。
(三)根據研究結果提供有關當局，作為今後推展衛生教育之參考。
二、研究方法和程序
(一)受試者：以我國公私立大學三、四年級學生為母體，用分層隨機取樣法抽取2594人為受試者。
(二)測量工具：以自編之衛生教育問卷為調查工具。
(三)施測方式：以團體施測方式委請各受試單位主管代為施測。
(四)資料處理：一般資料以次數、百分比顯示，並用卡方考驗法加以處理。進一步分析時用單因子變異數分析及薛費法加以多重比較。
三、研究結果
(一)性知識：
1.我國大學生性知識偏低，充滿許多謬誤觀念。
2.性知識程度受學院別、雙親教育程度、父親職業之影響而有差異。
3.性知識程度不受年級、性別、居住地之影響。
(二)性態度：
1.我國大學生性態度雖漸趨開放，比之歐美仍稱保守。
2.接吻態度受學院、年級、性別之影響而有差異；居住地、雙親教育程度、父親職業無影響。
3.愛撫態度受學院、性別、雙親教育程度、父親職業影響而有差異；不受年級、居住地之影響。
4．性交態度受學院、性別之影響而有差異；不受年級、居住地、雙親教育程度、父親職業之影響。
(三)性行為：
1.我國大學生有性交經驗者佔11.99%，男生18.67%，女生2.7%。
2.性行為因學院、性別、居住地、父親職業之不同而有差異；年級、雙親教育程度對受試者性行為沒有影響。
四、建議
(一)有關機構卽早製定性教育之計劃與方針，並實施之。
(二)為人父母兄長者應正視子弟之性問題。
(三)政府對墮胎合法化的問題應早日完成立法。
(四)進一步研究時對象儘可能擴及各階層；並將身體外貌、宗教信仰、社經地位等變項納入研究；用統計方法排除各變項間的污染。
