📌According to Article 16 of the Degree Conferral Act, theses should be accessible to the public in principle, for academic circulation and sharing. The library may make the thesis publicly available for viewing. If the thesis involves confidential information, patents, or legal restrictions, it may be made publicly available at a later date, provided supporting documents are submitted and approval is obtained from the advisor and department chair. 📌According to the Ministry of Education’s Official Letter No. 1142201506 (June 4, 2025), starting from the 2025 academic year, if a thesis requires delayed public access (due to confidentiality, patent issues, or legal restrictions), the thesis committee must review these issues during the oral defense and confirm their approval by signing the application form. Each request to delay public access can be approved for up to five years and must be submitted separately each time. From the second application onward, you must obtain confirmation from all original thesis committee members again, or approval from your department’s committee. 📌Each application must include one proof document and required signatures. Do not bind it into the thesis. For graduation clearance, submit 3 original applications, 3 original proof documents, and 2 hard-copy theses to the library counter. |
