According to the Ministry of Education’s Official Letter No. 1142201506 (Tai-Jiao-Gao-Tong), dated June 4, 2025, starting from August 2025, if a thesis cannot be made publicly available due to confidentiality, patent matters, or other legal reasons and therefore requires delayed public access to the printed version, the application must be submitted at the time of the thesis oral examination. The request must be reviewed by the examination committee, and all committee members must sign the “Application for Postponement of Public Disclosure of Print Thesis/Dissertation National Chengchi University and National Central Library”.(Application form link: https://moltke.nccu.edu.tw/formservice_SSO/link.jsp?viewdetail=QP-K11-01-04 )
According to the resolution of the 1st Academic Affairs Meeting of the 2025 academic year, once a thesis has been approved by the examination committee and submitted to the Library, it is considered an official University record and may not be replaced. If revisions are still needed (e.g., corrections to the content, title, keywords, abstract, table of contents, or references), and both the student and advisor confirm that no academic integrity issues are involved, the department must submit a formal request. Upon approval, the Library will assist in replacing the printed thesis, updating the electronic file, and submitting it to the National Central Library in accordance with the required procedures. For replacement of the printed thesis held by the National Central Library, the department must send an official letter along with the printed thesis for processing.
